Bulk Tank Reports
Description
The Bulk Tank Report provides detailed information on milk production and quality metrics recorded for each bulk tank over time. This report can be downloaded in Excel or PDF format for further analysis. Users can populate this report using integrations or by manually entering data via the Cow Connect Manual Milk module.
Features
- Data Population:
- Automated Integration: Data can be populated automatically through integrations. Refer to the Modules Section for details or contact support for assistance.
- Manual Entry: Users can manually add bulk tank details using the Cow Connect Manual Milk module.
- Export Options:
- Data can be exported to Excel or PDF for offline usage.
- Filters and Views:
- Customise the date range to view data for specific periods.
Fields and Columns
- Date:
- The timestamp of when the data was recorded.
- Helps track daily milk production and quality metrics.
- Bulk Tank:
- The name of the bulk tank where milk is stored (e.g., “Bulktank1”, “Bulktank4”).
- Allows identification of data by specific tanks.
- Milk Yield:
- Total volume of milk (in liters) produced and stored in the bulk tank.
- Key metric for tracking milk production.
- Fat Percent:
- Percentage of fat content in the milk.
- Important for assessing milk quality and determining product suitability (e.g., cream, cheese).
- Protein Percent:
- Percentage of protein content in the milk.
- Essential for evaluating milk quality and nutritional value.
- Water:
- Volume of water detected in the milk (in liters).
- Indicates potential dilution or contamination.
- Urea:
- Urea concentration in the milk (in mg/dL).
- Used to monitor cow nutrition and health, as high urea levels may indicate dietary imbalance.
- SCC x 1000 (Somatic Cell Count):
- Somatic cell count per 1000 units of milk.
- High SCC levels may indicate mastitis or other health issues in the herd.
- Lactose:
- Percentage of lactose content in the milk.
- Indicates the natural sugar content in the milk, which affects taste and energy value.
- Bact (Bacterial Count):
- Number of bacterial units present in the milk.
- Helps assess milk hygiene and quality.
Use Case
- Milk Production Monitoring:
- Track milk yield trends and identify variations across different bulk tanks.
- Milk Quality Analysis:
- Evaluate fat, protein, and lactose percentages to maintain desired quality standards.
- Use SCC and bacterial count to identify potential health or hygiene issues.
- Nutritional Insights:
- Monitor urea levels to assess herd nutrition and dietary adjustments.
- Operational Management:
- Use water content and bacterial count data to ensure proper milk handling and storage procedures.
Notes
- For automated data population, refer to the respective integration available in the Modules section.
