Feed History
Description
The Feed History Report provides a visual and interactive representation of feed usage over a selected period of time. Users can analyse the feed types given to their cattle, customise the data view by pen, and explore specific metrics such as feed “As Fed” or “Dry Matter”. The report is designed for flexible data exploration with customizable filters and visualization options.
Features
1. Feed Metrics:
- View feed data as “As Fed” or “Dry Matter”.
- Choose between “Total” feed or feed consumed “By Animal”.
2. Visualization:
- Interactive graphical representation of feed trends over time.
- The graph displays stacked feed quantities (e.g., Soybean Meal, Silage, Straw, etc.).
- Users can hide or unhide specific feed types by clicking the eye icon next to each feed type in the legend.
3. Filters:
- Pens: Select specific pens to narrow down the data.
- Date Range: Customise the date range for analysis.
Fields and Metrics
- Feed Type: The type of feed offered (e.g., Soybean Meal, Silage, Urea).
- Quantity (Kg): Total quantity of the feed provided.
- Visualization Axis:
- Y-Axis: Displays feed quantity (Kg).
- X-Axis: Represents the timeline based on the selected date range.

- Monitoring Feed Trends:
- Analyse which feed types are being consumed most over time.
- Identify seasonal or periodic feed usage patterns.
- Feed Planning:
- Adjust feed quantities and types based on historical trends.
- Optimise feed strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
