Rations

Description

The Rations section allows farmers to define feed rations for individual animals and associate these rations with specific pens using feed plans. This system ensures precise feeding based on the number of animals in a pen and provides flexibility to adjust feed quantities as needed.

Ration Configuration

  • Feed ration is configured for one animal.
  • Fields include:
    • Ingredient: List of feed ingredients with respective details like:
      • Fresh Weight (kg)
      • Dry Matter (%)
      • Dry Matter Weight (DM) (kg)
      • Cost per unit
    • Mix Time: Time required to mix the feed.
    • Auto-Load and Auto-Progress: Automation settings for feed preparation.
  • Farmers can Add/Remove Ingredients to customise the ration.

  • History Tab:
    • Displays the history of changes made to the ration.
    • When reverting to a previous version using the Change Back to This Version option:
      • Only the Fresh Weight is carried over.
      • Other details like DM% and DM Weight are recalculated based on the current DM% of the ingredients.
